Don't multitask

Multitasking is only possible if the other tasks you are performing have been automated.

Yes, you can actually paint while listening to music. But if you are painting while listening to an audiobook or a podcast you will invariably shift your focus from one to another, delaying your progress and expanding the time it will take you to finish.

If a task becomes a challenge multitasking is left out of the room.

Avoid multitasking when doing creative work or problem solving.
